That would suck traveling with an infected foot that is in the water all day. No reason to be embarrased...As we all sat at the outside tables at Slippery's....watching you...I can tell you that all the people at the tables were commenting and admiring your efforts to take on and execute the task of kayaking down the Mighty Mississippi River...the 3rd Largest River in the World....WOW !!!! that takes guts...It is quite an accomplishment and we were all cheering you on and amazed at your determination...The bed sheet / sail worked and off you went...CONGRATS to YOU !!!!I know it was challenging to get the sail erected properly with limited materials. I could tell you were bombarded with a million questions and I felt bad for you because you were pressed for time and the sun was going down quickly and time was of the essence to go down river and erect a camp before total darkness.How far down the river did you get that night.
